“I wasn’t your typical fit girl to say the least. I started going through a weight loss journey 3 years ago. I was massive. Standing at a small frame of 4 feet 11 inches, I easily tipped the scale at a whopping 228 lbs (103kgs).

I was considered morbidly obese yet I remained in denial. I thought everything was fine. As long as I’m happy, I didn’t care what anybody else thought. I would brush them off and tell myself, ‘Yes I’m fat. So what?’ That was my attitude back then. I didn’t know my dismissiveness would be bear consequences.

It all started way back at a time when I had an immense love for sisig. It was thanks to this binging fest that I had a wake-up call. I ate sizzling sisig for 3 days straight and before I knew it, I started to have frequent headaches. I thought it was just because of stress until a company nurse checked my blood pressure. It really hit me hard when the meter read 160/100.
